MRI Technologist Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our imaging team at HCA Florida Blake Hospital. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures, preparing patients, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Job Summary
Our imaging team is a committed and caring group of professionals dedicated to providing high-quality patient care. We are seeking a Florida-licensed MRI Technologist to provide magnetic resonance imaging services to patients in a compassionate and respectful manner.

Responsibilities

• 
  
• Demonstrate a strong and thorough knowledge of all MRI and associated equipment and obtain high-quality MR images assuring only optimal films are submitted for interpretation
  
• Facilitate the MRI procedure by selecting proper technical factors/techniques to accommodate all patients and select, prepare and administer the appropriate contrast material
  
• Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated
  
• Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
  
• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
  
• Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies
  
• Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care
  
  
  Qualifications
  
  • 
    
  • Graduate of a 2-year, AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
    
  • Valid ARRT (R) and ARRT (MR)
    
  • Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
    
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of prior/current MRI Technologist experience
